Quality of water leads the most important part to make Japanese sake. The new package has three types of label and all of them are designed to express a stream of its water and wabi-sabi, aesthetic sense in Japanese art emphasizing quiet simplicity and subdued refinement, by calligraphy to appeal smooth taste of the sake. The company new logo is designed with a hope for the brewery to continue their over-300-year tradition for next hundreds of years.

Excalibur Limited Edition Packaging

The project is to design a whisky packaging targeted at people with special obsession with chivalry culture. Every man had dreamed to become a chevalier while whisky has a close connection with which. This design is made to create a unique experience of opening the outer packing. It is the opening method and the special appearance that makes the packaging unique. The container will rise up with the opening of the outer packaging, feeling like a water drop drops in the water and spread out like a flower.

Snow Breweries-Jiang Xin Ying Zao

Main part of the glass bottle are traditional Chinese window frames carved in relief. They adopt an old technique named “Bubujin” to forge those frames, which imply the meanings of a promising career and a bright future. The 4 Chinese characters of Jiang Xin Ying Zao are embedded subtly into the frames in a vertical order. As so they found out a standpoint to design it, which is ingenuity is no longer showed off and only the perfection of every single detail is kept, which is exactly the extreme expression of the name.

Omdesign 2017

In order to celebrate the 165 national and international awards Omdesign has won in the last three years, they decided to create this packaging to reinforce their commitment to the future. This package made of burnt wood carries a strong message with a simple gesture, meaning that by working together, people can help return to the forest part of what was destroyed by the fires, as well as what Omdesign takes from it to develop the solutions they create every day. This caricature of a water dispenser, doling out water drop by drop, illustrates Omdesign environmental concern.

Kirin Natural Mineral Water

This is a bottled water product sold only on an e-commerce site.Thirty bottles which have 6 different types of design are assorted in a box. We made the water itself the protagonist of the design. One side of the bottle has the small product title only,so that the patterns of the back are seen through the “refraction of water”. The patterns look differently according to the angle.Such effect increases the presence of natural water itself and the water looks more delicious through the bottle.

Cloudy Tea

Combined with the packaging of traditional Chinese calligraphy and painting scroll, the design involves the inspiration of scroll into the tea tube and tea bag, which has different features from other designs. The advantages of this design is that people will have a sense of ritual when they opened the package. After opening the knot, it unfolds a picture of Chinese landscape painting which is composed of the roots of a tree, leaves of tea and flower of tea. It can not be seen before opening, thus the packaging only has concise patterns which only includes teapot, words and seal.
